About this product

Bid Radar watches the places commercial work shows up and puts everything in one list, scored against the jobs you actually want.

Most subs check three or four sites every morning. BuildingConnected for invitations, Dodge for what is coming, the county permit portal for anything breaking ground nearby, SAM.gov if you chase federal work. Each one has its own login, its own filters, and its own idea of what a project record looks like. None of them talk to each other.

Bid Radar pulls them into a single grid. Every lead gets a score based on your trades, your project size, the bid date, and whether you have worked with that GC before, so the list opens with the jobs worth reading first. The rest is one keystroke away when you want it.

Local permits are the part nobody else covers

National platforms carry national jobs. The tenant buildout two towns over shows up in a county permit feed weeks before it reaches a bid board, if it reaches one at all.

Bid Radar reads city and county ArcGIS and Socrata permit feeds directly. You add the jurisdictions you bid in, and a built-in test tells you whether a feed is live and carrying recent records before you rely on it. That test matters: plenty of published government datasets quietly stopped updating years ago, and Bid Radar will tell you which ones rather than leaving you wondering why a county went quiet.

Built for one trade, by one

Bid Radar is part of the Verso suite, written by a drywall and framing subcontractor who needed it. It runs on your own PC. Your leads, your filters and your pipeline stay in a database on your machine - there is no cloud account, and nothing is uploaded anywhere.

What you will need

Bid Radar reads the accounts you already have; it does not replace them. BuildingConnected requires your own Autodesk account with a Bid Board Pro subscription. Dodge requires a Dodge account. SAM.gov needs a free API key and is limited to 10 requests per day unless you register your entity. Permit and zoning feeds are public and need no account at all.

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. 14-day trial, no card required.

  • Now part of the Verso suite: shared licensing, matching interface, new app icon
  • Test All button checks every permit source and reports which are live, which are empty, and which have stopped updating
  • Major fix to keyword filtering, which had been rejecting almost every permit it fetched
  • Leads are now dated by when the permit was issued or applied for, not when the record was last edited, so old jobs no longer appear as new
  • Score, estimated value, issue date and property type added to the leads grid, with a minimum score filter
  • Built-in help and keyboard shortcuts
  • Clearer errors from SAM.gov and BuildingConnected instead of silent empty results
  • 14-day trial
